High Pressure Hose 20' Review

What can I say, it's the exact same as the inexpensive (cheap) hose that came with the inexpensive (cheap) pressure washer.

Over time, I'm sure this one will kink and ultimately break the same way the original one did.

I knew this before the purchase - Reason why I bought: the pressure washer does exactly what I need it to do, so this is an inexpensive way to keep on using it without buying a new pressure washer.

4 star review because I wish it were a higher quality, but not a 3 star review because I am realistic.

Champion Power Equipment 3000PSI 2.5 GPM PRESSURE WASHER 76503 Review

It looks a lot more sturdy and functional then it is. I bought it last night from Cabela's and brought it home to clean my boat, ATV's and my drive way. The assembly was super easy. After adding 30W oil and gas I followed the instructions to start it and it was a pain! It took at least 6 pulls and every other pull you had to squeeze the pressure wand trigger to release the water pressure or else you couldn't pull the start cord (with each pull the compression builds up and only by squeezing the wand can you release it). After I finally got it started (according to the instructions) I let it warm up a reasonable amount of time and then moved the choke lever to "run" and it immediately stalled. I ended up running it for about 30 min in the "choke" mode since the "run" mode never worked.
The 12 inch wheels look as though they will last forever but in reality they wobble due to a lot of play in the "axle". I suspect that they will cause problems in the long run.

The instructions were vague and almost as if the technical writer wasn't sure how the thing worked so he omitted parts on purpose. The descriptions for the various nozzles was omitted. This is a pretty key feature of the pressure washer. I couldn't find a single reference on the nozzles or what nozzles to use for a particular application for that matter.

I will play with this one more time tonight and if I am still as disapointed as I now am, I will box it up and take it back to Cabela's and buy the one I saw at Home Depot with the Honda engine. For $399.00 I wasn't expecting a commercial product but at least one that I wouldn't feel the need to write a negative review on!

Just opened the box and read the entire user manual to make sure this is put together correctly. It was shipped with no oil (there is a notice sticker on the machine stating this). The user guide states the following:

"6.1 Pump Crankcase Lubrication
Pump oil level can be checked with a dip stick or, for pumps with oil level sight gauges, viewing the sight gauge. Oil level is correct if at the center of the circle. If oil level is low, fill to correct level with recommended oil DO NOT OVERFILL crankcase!.

Some pumps may not have either a dipstick or sight gauge. Oil levels in these pumps can only be checked by draining the crankcase and measuring the oil amount. If oil level is incorrect, replace with the proper amount and type as recommended by the pump manufacturer."

Megashot Model MS2750 does not have a dipstick or sight gauge. No where does the manual state what the "proper amount" of oil is to be. After two days, I was able to get through to the Simpson factory and speak to a technician. (The answer is 4.5 to 5 oz).

And Simpson, in case you are reading...your manual has the incorrect website address for your corporation at the bottom of every page.

Man,

We got one of these Briggs & Stratton pressure washers.Not this one, an electric one.Right away the gun broke and wouldn't trigger the spray.

But that's not the complaint.We accept that sometimes things break

But dealing with customer service?

First call we got LAUGHED at.
Second call we got put through the ringer trying to locate serial numbers that simply were not where they said they were.
Third call told us the new gun was coming.
When it NEVER SHOWED we called again, only to be told it was on back order.
When is it coming?"A couple of weeks"They're not really sure.

Will NEVER buy from this company again.

McCulloch FHH25A 2500 PSI Gas Pressure Washer Review

I purchased this because I liked the way it looked.

I've had 3 other pressure washers and thought the all enclosed unit would be easier to store so I "one clicked" bought it. The collapsible handle seemed like a nice feature too.

When I received it it looked great.
I read the manual, filled it with gas & oil and pulled the starter corda couple of times.

The handle was in the up position because I wheeled it out to the driveway.

As the gas percolated through the system on about the seventh pull the engine apparently misfired and locked the recoil rope so that I pulled the unit toward me with great force and the extended handle caught me right in the mouth.

Split lip and loose tooth.

Stay away from this puppy.I've had enough experience to know that this is a real piece of garbage.

I have rented pressure washers that were in the 2500 psi. range. They were very powerful and even at times hard to control. This one though you have to be pretty close for really dirty cement but it does do the job the first time. I'm very pleased with the fact that this model is powerful, quiet and doesn't need gas! For the lady of this house this is GREAT! You can do it all and by yourself. For men, I would guess you probably want more power just because, but know this, this one will do the job. For the price and the fact that it doesn't need that ever expensive gasoline it's tops in my book. I'm really glad I bought it. Things I've cleaned in the past 3 days, gutters, pool cage, patio/lanai deck, lawn furniture and stucco exterior... the truck is next.

Yes one of the wheels feel off...big deal.I followed all of the instructions and it worked perfectly.It was well package and I didn't see any damage.

The only cons I can think of is the wand hose was a bit short, there's no storage spot for the wand and you have to twist your water supply hose to tighten it.This leaves a kink in the line.

Outside of that, I am very happy with what I got.

Comet Pump Pressure Washer Pump - 2.5 GPM, 2700 PSI, 5 HP to 6.5 HP Required, Model# VRX2527G Review

I bought this pump last year to replace the one that failed on my 8hp Generiac pressure washer. This pump is not ceramic like the original, but has already lasted longer than the original unit. It bolted on just fine, I had to get an adapter for one of the fittings, but no big deal. This unit has been a good replacement for a power washer that is used by the neighborhood for washing their house before painting. I don't know if it would hold up for professional, but for us it has been fine. 3 houses done, and it is still working. To powerfull for washing cars though, it took the paint right off my montero bumper, and the labels off my fiberglass ladders.

I bought the pressure washer just to do my vehicles and the side of my house, and it has exceeded my expectations. The only problem I've had so far is that I can't seem to get the intake valve to suck up soap water yet. The motor and pump work excellent though. I am so glad I got one on Amazon too; it was about $150.00 cheaper than going to the places in town.

FAIP Powerwasher 80008 Universal Pressure Washer Dual Brush Kit Review

I have to admit that maybe I was expecting too much from these brushes.I thought that with the power generated by the pressure washer the brushes would spin MUCH faster.But it appears that the nozzle controlling the water flow and the gearing is set to keep the spin rate down.This may be fine for use on something with a fine finish like a car, but I was hoping to use it to clean the patio furniture, siding, etc. and I think that it could benefit from higher RPM's for these tasks.

Other than that, the brushes seem to be of good quality and the attachments all fit very well.

Karcher 2.640-741.0 Pressure Washer 30-Inch Angled Underbody/Gutter Spray Review

I bought this wand for the sole purpose of using it to clean out my gutters.While the concept seems good, it didn't really work out like I had planned, probably because I'm pretty new to the whole gutter-cleaning thing.
The big problem I had, was that unless I was up high enough to see into the gutters, I really couldn't tell what was "going on" up there.I was just standing below, hoping it was working and getting wet/dirty in the process.I did have a lot of junk in my gutters, so if this was used on a regular basis, maybe it wouldn't be a problem.I ended up on ladders/the roof, using the regular wand instead.I then went ahead and bought some cheap vinyl gutter guards, so that I wouldn't have to do this again.I may still use the wand to clean the tops of those off, though.
One last thing:I also bought an extension wand to use for this purpose.Putting the two together can make the spray wand a little hard to control, as it is spraying out at an angle, so far away from your hands.
